Kenneth Welsh (Andy)
Kenneth WelshKenneth Welsh, recipient of the 1998 Earl Grey Award for Lifetime Achievement, has an outstanding list of credits in feature film, on television and on stage. He has been nominated for or won a total of seven Genie or Gemini awards and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Letters by the University of Alberta.

Welsh’s many film credits include Legends Of The Fall, The Freshman,The Day After Tomorrow, Love Come Down, The Wrong Guy, The Amateurs, Hiroshima, Timecop, Whale Music, and Margaret’s Museum, for which he won a Genie Award for Best Supporting Actor.

On television, Welsh has appeared in Ice Bound, Eloise, The Pentagon Papers, The Man Who Saved Christmas, The Outer Limits, Thatcher, Due South, Kissinger and Nixon, Lonesome Dove, Twin Peaks and dozens of other television movies or series.

Welsh’s stage career encompasses everything from Shakespeare to the modern classics. He has been on stages on and off Broadway, in numerous American cities, and at the Stratford Festival.

Hrothgar Mathews (Robin)
Hrothgar MathewsMathews’ extensive list of credits include the feature films Death’s Dream (winner of five LEO Awards, including Best Performance), The Core, Ready or Not, Scorn, Reindeer Games, Detox, and Drive, She Said.

Mathews had major roles in television movies or mini-series including Chinese Checkers, Third World, 36 Hours to Die, L.A. Law, Millennium Plague, and Nuremberg. He won a 1999 Gemini as Best Supporting Actor for his role in Hard Time: David Milgaard. Among Mathews’ episodic television credits are supporting and guest star roles in Dead Zone, Cold Squad VI, DaVinci’s Inquest, Stargate, Dead Man’s Gun, Jake and the Kid, and Sliders.

Mathews can also claim extensive stage credits with The Arts Club, Alumnae Theatre, Geordie, Le Stage and Concordia University.

Jackson Davies (Stewart)
Jackson DaviesDavies started acting in 1968 and has appeared in more than 160 stage shows in most of the major theatres in Canada. In July 2002, Davies was back in uniform as Constable, Constable in The “New” Beachcombers, a Movie of the Week, which he co-produced for the CBC. The response was so good that CBC has asked him to develop a second Beachcombers movie.

Davies has appeared in more than 300 TV shows, including Wiseguy, 21 Jump Street, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventures, Hit the Spot, Vonnegut Theatre, and The X Files. He had continuing roles in MacGyver and Street Justice. He has also been in 30 made for television movies and feature films including I Still Dream of Jeannie, Christmas Pageant, Hitchhiker, Runaway, Stakeout, Bird on a Wire, Bingo, The Exxon Valdez Story, Catch Me If You Can, and the critically skewered Tom Green movie Freddy Got Fingered.

His 16-year run as Constable John Constable in CBC’s longest running TV series, The Beachcombers won him the TV Week Viewers’ Choice Award for Best Actor in 1986, 1987, 1988, and 1989. Davies is one of only two Canadians to be made Honorary Sergeants in the RCMP. In 1995, Davies was inducted into the B.C. Entertainment Hall Of Fame and Starwalk.

Lochlyn Munro (Randall)
Lochlyn MunroMunro is a seasoned performer who has had lead roles in dozens of feature films, television movies and TV series. His feature credits include box office hits: , Freddy vs. Jason, A Guy Thing, Scary Movie, Night At The Roxbury, Dead Man On Campus, Pressure, Rock My World, Take My Life Please, and The Keeper.

Munro has appeared in the television movies Lucky 7, The Dead Zone, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Stand Against Fear, Who Killed My Daughter and Stranger in the Mirror. He has been a guest star on the series Dead Zone, The Outer Limits and JAG and had recurring roles on Charmed and Flying Colours.



FILMMAKERS BIOGRAPHIES

Robert Frederick (Producer)
With 108 episodes of Paramount Pictures’ highly successful action-adventure series MacGyver, and 90 episodes of Canada’s longest running television program The Beachcombers among his many producing credits, Mr. Frederick is one of British Columbia’s most experienced and respected film and television producers.

A graduate of the University of British Columbia, Mr. Frederick went on to New York University for his Master of Fine Arts before joining the CBC in 1979. During his association with the CBC he produced, directed, and executive produced several dramatic and documentary series, including an action adventure series Ritter’s Cove, which was an international co-production with Beta Taurus of Germany.

Since 1985 Mr. Frederick has continued to produce films and TV series for a number of U.S. studios and networks, including Paramount Pictures, Sony, CBS, NBC and ABC television. During his five year association with Paramount Pictures (Macgyver), Mr. Frederick served as a production executive and a producer. In addition, Mr. Frederick also raised the entire financing to produce the independent feature film, The First Season. This critically acclaimed film was distributed internationally and exhibited by Cineplex Odeon in Canada.
In 1994, Mr. Frederick founded MVP Entertainment Inc. Through MVP, Mr. Frederick was the production executive on the TNT cable movie entitled Broken Trust (Tom Selleck, Elizabeth McGovern, Marsha Mason). Next, Mr. Frederick co-produced with Davis Films of France and Toei Video of Japan, the feature film Crying Freeman, directed by Christoph Gans (Brotherhood of the Wolf).

In the fall of 1995 Mr. Frederick was the executive producer on Lifeline, a feature, developed and financed by MVP. Lifeline was produced in association with USA Networks, Canal + and Bavaria. Lifeline was an official treaty co-production between France and Canada and was shot in the south of France starring academy award nominated actress Lorraine Bracco (Goodfellas/ The Sopranos), along with Lisa Jakub (Mrs. Doubtfire) and Jean Marc Barr (The Big Blue). In the summer of 1996 Mr. Frederick produced Dad’s Week Off, a project co-produced with Paramount for Showtime Networks. In 1997-2000 Mr. Frederick and MVP produced the pilot for Dead Man’s Gun in association with Showtime and Disney. From 1999-2000 Mr. Frederick was an executive consultant on the series. In 2000 Mr. Frederick incorporated MVP Entertainment Inc. and vended in MVP Movie Vista Productions. From 2000-2003 Mr. Frederick devoted his time to restructuring and capitalizing the company. In August of 2003 Mr. Frederick completed the independent feature The Wild Guys, which he produced and is releasing through Cineplex Odeon in the fall of 2003.

Mr. Frederick is based in Vancouver and has obtained the film rights to many exceptional properties, including Generation X, Ranger and Strange But True, which are in pre-production. Currently Mr. Frederick devotes his time to raising venture capital, producing film and television product, and positioning the Company as a vertically integrated entertainment company that develops, produces and distributes quality film and television product.

Jackson Davies (Co-writer)
Davies both co-wrote and acted in the feature film The Wild Guys. He also co-produced The “New” Beachcobmers, a Movie of the Week for the CBC. Davies produced and wrote Welcome Back, the Beachcombers 30th anniversary documentary that aired on the CBC. He is producing, writing and acting in The Foursome, a feature film comedy about golf that is scheduled to shoot in October.

Davies has appeared in, written, produced, and directed more than 200 television commercials and industrial films in Canada and the U.S., winning numerous national and international awards.

Rex Bromfield (Co-writer)
Bromfield has writing and directing credits in both television and feature film. He wrote and directed the comedy Home Is Where the Hart Is, and Love at First Sight and was a contributing writer/director to various episodes of the CBC television sitcom Nellie, Daniel, Emma and Ben.
Bromfield has also written numerous documentaries and multimedia presentations.


William F. Gereghty (Director)
William F. Gereghty is an accomplished director and cinematographer with extensive experience in both television and film. Originally from Los Angeles, he is the third generation in a family of filmmakers, and, and, since his film debut as an extra at six months old, he has been deeply involved in the film industry.

Although “The Wild Guys” is his directorial feature film debut, Bill has won accolades for excellence in Directing, including a Western Heritage Award for Best Director/ 1 Hr TV Drama for his work in “Dead Man’s Gun”, and numerous other nominations. In addition to his impressive directorial career, Bill has also worked extensively as a Cinematographer, and his credits include 4 seasons with the popular T.V. series “Magnum P.I.”. A dual Canadian and American citizen, he enjoys filming on both sides of the border, and has also been involved with projects in France.
